The ACCC estimated that at the end of 2002 there were 363,500 broadband Internet customers across Australia. 80% of broadband customers are residential. They use this high speed Internet for fast downloading of videos, music and games and complex graphics. What opportunities are there for broadband business? We will explore this in detail next issue! Firstly, how much does broadband cost? This is not an easy question to answer! There are more than a dozen providers of broadband services. Each offers many service packages to suit different customer types and usage profiles. Providers also offer very attractive sign up incentives.
